Charles Mckellips

Chuck McKellips, 60, passed away May 16, 2019 in Monahans, Texas. He was born on January 14, 1959 in Coffeeville, Kansas to George and Evelyn McKellips. Chuck married the love of his life Patti Rhodes in 1985 and shortly after had their daughter Emily.

Chuck's family moved to the Monahans area when he was four years old. He attended and graduated from Monahans High School. Chuck worked as a mechanic for the Ward County Golf Course for 19 years. He enjoyed spending time his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; George and Evelyn McKellips, and daughter; Sissy McKellips.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife; Patti McKellips of Monahans, Texas, daughter; Emily Lopez and husband Jacob, grandchildren; Stacie, Kieli, and Kole Lopez of Monahans, Texas, daughter; Nikki Defranco of Kermit, Texas, brothers; Kerry McKellips and wife Ramona of Kermit, Texas, Donnie McKellips and wife Lisa of Monahans, Texas, John Mckellips and wife Beronica of Kermit, Texas, sisters; Georgia Kirby and husband Gary of Odessa, Texas, Kelly Johnson of Oregon, Sandra McKellips, and Geneva McKellips of Odessa, Texas, and numerous nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., May 20, 2019 at Harkey Funeral Home in Monahans, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., May 21, 2019 at Southside Baptist Church in Monahans, Texas, with Pastor Joshua Rieff officiating.

Pallbearers will be Danny Birdwell, Chad Thummel, Mike Elrod, James Marlow, Joe Dowlearn, and Ramon Martinez. Honorary Pallbearers will be John McKellips, Donnie McKellips, Kerry McKellips, and Josh McKellips.
