Abel McGuire Jr. 75, of Marfa, TX, passed away on February 15th, 2020 in Wickett, TX.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday February 19th, 2020 at Harkey Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 20th, 2020 at Harkey Funeral Home Chapel in Monahans, Tx.

Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 21st, 2020 at St John’s Catholic Church in Monahans Tx with Father Allan Alaka officiating.

Abel McGuire Jr. Was born in Marfa, TX to Abel and Maria McGuire on August 2nd, 1944. He went to school at Blackwell in Marfa Tx where he graduated. He married Maria Rios on May 11th, 1970 in Marfa Tx. He worked as a mechanic for Brantley Trucking where he retired. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he was honorably discharged and earned the National Defense Service Medal and Marksman. He was also involved in The Knights of Columbus.

Abel Mcguire Jr. Is preceded in death by his mother Maria S McGuire Father Abel McGuire Sr. Sister Rosario McGuire England and Brother Antonio Mcguire.

Abel McGuire Jr. Is survived by his wife of 50 years Maria McGuire, Mother-in-law Senaida Rios, Son Florence McGuire, son Abel McGuire III, and his wife Sue Kautz, daughter Maribel McGuire, son Brandon McGuire and his husband Brandon Allison. His grandchildren Isaiah Mcguire, Kamyran McGuire, Brandi Thornton, Damien Sparks, Cheyenne Sparks, Lakota McGuire, many beloved nieces and nephews, and numerous God Children.

Pallbearers will be: Mike Nunez, Chris Nunez, Jason McGuire, Isaiah Briones, Cyle Lynch, Oscar Gutierrez and Jesse McGuire.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Isaiah McGuire, Kamyran McGuire and Manuel Rios
