Agnes Harrison

Dora Agnes Harrison, aged 89, went to her heavenly home peacefully on November 14,2018 at home after an extended illness. Dora was born May 30, 1929, in Westbrook, Texas, the daughter of Finis Fox and Dalta Ora Thomas. She had 10 brothers and sisters.

Dora thoroughly enjoyed housework. Making her house a home that was always clean and inviting made her happy. She also enjoyed ironing, and she ironed for the public for over 60 years. Working from home allowed her to be available for her children and grandchildren.

On May 3, 1946 she married the love of her life, Billy Lee Harrison. Together they raised 3 children, William Henry Harrison, Debra Elaine Hill, and Susan Alaine Goforth. They moved several times with Mobil Oil, and finally retired in Monahans, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Billy Lee Harrison, son; William Henry Harrison, and her parents; Finis Fox and wife Dalta.

Dora is survived by her daughters; Debra Elaine Hill, Susan Alaine Goforth, sister, Nancy Josephine Brewer, of Odessa, Texas. She leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.

The family wishes to thank all those who cared for her during her illness.

Viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Harkey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 19, 2018 at Harkey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gordon Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
