Angela “Kay” Gearard, 59, of Monahans, Texas, passed away September 8, 2021, with her family by her side.
Angela Went to Monahans High and played volleyball and basketball for the Monahans Lady Loboes. She later dropped out of school at 17 when she got pregnant with her first child, Nicole Gearard. A daughter that she loved and adored more than anything. She started her career being a CNA at the Monahans Manage Care Center and then met Michael Allen Curey and later married. They never had kids together. They later divorced in 2013 and Kay continued with her life and career as well. Working at different nursing homes and hospitals. Angela was a very caring and loving big sister, mother, and granny. She was a God-fearing lady. She knew how to brighten up a room and she also knew how to push your buttons. But no matter what she always loved you and had a heart of gold, good or bad. She was a very wise woman that would give her last to anybody who needed it, especially her family. You couldn’t tell her anything. She was hardheaded, fierce, and sassy and a sweetheart. She is loved and very missed deeply. This is just her graduation so were celebrating with tears of joy cause that’s what she would have wanted.
Angela Kay is preceded in death by the late pastor James Earl Gearard and Rosie Lee Gilbert Gearard, brothers, James Daniel, Michael, and Don Gearard.
Angela is survived by her twin Anthony Ray Gearard, Gary Dale Gearard, daughter Nicole Rene Gearard, 7 grandchildren; Jermaine Gearard, Jamar Gearard, Santwan Justice, Diamanaza and Diamonique Justice, Da’Kaylia and DaKay sia Jackson and a nephew that was there to the end J.D.
