Mrs. Arcilia Reyes, age 74, of Monahans, was born April 25, 1941 in Fort Stockton, and went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, September 19, 2015 at Houston Methodist Hospital.
She was a most loving, generous and caring person. She enjoyed dearly the detailed embellishments of sewing for the pure happiness and smiles it brought her. She shared many of her creations with loved ones and friends - from Easter dresses to dog wear - you name it.
Arcilia was a longtime member and treasurer of Iglesia Bautista El Cavario, where she shared many wonderful memories with her family and friends in the name of The Lord.
She is preceded in death by her son, Carlos Briones; her mother, Maria De Jesus Sanchez; and her father, Isidoro Gonzalez.
She was the devoted wife of 54 years to Vidal Reyes of Monahans; amazing mother to her sons, Abelardo Reyes and Samuel Reyes, both of Midland; daughters, Rachel Boyd of Katy, and Delma Reyes of Odessa; loving grandmother of Adam Nunez, Desiree Reyes, Derek Reyes, Kendal Lee, Alexas Lee, Kirsten Nieto, and Paris Boyd; and great-grandmother to Kevin and Jayden Reyes.
Visitation for Arcilia will be held from 4 PM on Monday, September 21, until 8 PM on Wednesday, September 23, at Harkey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 2 PM at First Baptist Church of Monahans, followed by interment at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
Family and friends would like to say one last thank you to Arcilia for sharing many wonderful years filled with the best memories we could have asked for. We love you to the moon and back and we will miss you dearly. Rest easy in The Lord's name.
