Arlene Patin

February 11, 1937 — November 5, 2023

Monahans, Texas

Arlene Ayers Ware Patin, a beloved resident of Monahans, Texas, passed away on November 5, 2023, at the age of 86. Arlene was born in Aransas Pass to Harry & Anna Ayers on February 11, 1937.

Arlene was raised in Aransas Pass where she spent her childhood. Shortly after graduating high school, she spent a few years moving around until she found the perfect place, here in Monahans, to raise her three children (and many more). She had a love for plants, ceramics, and animals. In her free time, she spent her time in the ceramic store and painting.

Later in life, she made her way back to Aransas Pass where she found the love of her life and got married to EJ Patin in 1991. During her time in Aransas Pass, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and raising many different animals, which she loved just as she did her family.

Arlene is preceded in death by her mother and father - Harry and Anna Ayers and her husband EJ Patin.

Arlene is survived by her son Jimmie Ware of Houston, Texas; her daughters, Valerie Smith and Kim Ware of Monahans, Texas; her grandchildren, Bree Williams (Townsend) of Denver, Colorado, Marissa Torbett (Justin) of Monahans, Texas, Dylan Anderson of Monahans, Texas, & Kristyn Smith (Colbey) of Midland, Texas; her great grandchildren, Maya Holguin and Peyton Ornelas; her brothers, Derace and Marion Ayers; her sister, Linda Cluiss.

Pallbearers will be Troy Ayers, Chad Ayers, Dylan Anderson, Colbey Ford, Justin Torbett, and Doug Roeber.

Honorary pallbearer will be Townsend Barron.

To honor Arlene’s life, a funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church on November 8, 2023, at 10:00 am. Friends and family are invited to gather and pay their final respects, sharing stories and memories of a remarkable woman who touched so many lives. Following the service, Arlene will be laid to rest at Monahans Cemetery, located at 400 S. Helen Ave, Monahans, Texas 79756, at 11:45am

Arlene will forever be treasured as a beacon of compassion, love, and unwavering dedication to both animals and her loved ones. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
