Ascencion Jimenez Prieto, 76, of Monahans, TX, passed away on May 11, 2020 in Odessa, TX.

Ascencion Jimenez Prieto was born in San Antonio del Bravo, Mexico, to Ramon and Cecilia Prieto on June 6, 1943. He married Zulema Samaniego Prieto on December 26, 1975, in San Antonio del Bravo, Mexico. He worked for Brantley Trucking as a truck driver for 44 years.

Ascencion is preceded in death by Ramon Prieto, Cecilia Prieto, Ascencion “Cince” Prieto, Jr., Hiram Hernandez, Willy Lujan, and Jose Prieto.

Ascencion is survived by his wife, Zulema Prieto, his daughter Bernett Prieto Hernandez and husband Roland Hernandez from Lamesa, TX, his daughter Lily Prieto Dominguez and husband Enrique Dominguez from Pflugerville, TX, his sisters Anita P. Bernal of Monahans, Socorro Prieto of Midland, Ofelia P. Hernandez of Andrews, Guadalupe P. Lujan of Kermit, Rosa P. Harrison of Pecos, and Lila Prieto of Midland. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Shawde Garces and her husband TJ Garces, and Ace Dominguez, and one great grandchild, Hannah Garces.

Pallbearers will be Enrique Dominguez, Roland Hernandez, Jose Prieto, Ricardo Samaniego, TJ Garces, and Homero Samaniego.
