Barbara Jean Davis, 86 of Monahans, Texas received her memories and her angel wings on April 15, 2025 in her home surrounded by her family.
Barbara was born in Coleman, Texas to Marshall and Reeta Tune on May 27, 1938. She graduated from Monahans High School in 1956. During high school, she was introduced to the love of her life, William (Willie) by her brother William (Billy) and married October 6, 1956. During their 45 years of marriage, they were blessed with four children. She worked for many retail stores in Monahans, mostly recognized for working at Anthony’s. Her final place of work was Visiting Nurses of Del Rio from which she then retired.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and doing word search puzzles. She loved the outdoors, whether it was working in her garden or walking to the library weekly for new books. As a devoted Christian, you would always find her at her desk, in the mornings reading her daily bible studies. There was no limit to the love she had for her family and friends. She was one to never say goodbye, telling everyone to say instead “see you later” goodbye is to final.
Barbara was welcomed to her heavenly home by her parents Marshall and Reeta (Holland) Tune, husband William H. Davis, brother William G. Tune and son Dennis D. Davis.
She left behind on her earthly home sons Brett A. Davis and Gene F. Davis (Wendy), daughter Margie N. Crow (Charlie), daughter-in-law D. Lynn Davis, brother Gary E. Tune (Sue), 10 grandchildren, 25 Great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The Pallbearers will be Brett Davis, Gene Davis, Charlie Crow, Timothy Neyman, Norman Neyman and Bryan Neyman.
