Barbara Jean West, 77, passed away July 24, 2017 in Crane, Texas, "She was welcomed to Heaven in the arms of our Lord" and her first grandson Brandon. She was born in McCamey, Texas to Bert Potts and wife Ollie on November 6, 1939.
When Barbara wasn't busy with her three children, teaching morals, cooking meals, sewing their clothes, you could find her crafting, working in the garden, or supporting her local girl scout troops and church at Southside Baptist. She was troop leader for five years and community service director, and enjoyed Bingo. Barbara was always full of life anywhere she'd go. When her children were grown she was blessed to be a grandma, and great grandma known as "nanny". She worked at Spotlight Restaurant and moved on to be manager at Colonial Inn Restaurant where she met so many new friends. After retirement Barbara opened "Crafts Unique" where every item in the store was handmade ranging from, leather, glass stain, to giant size doll house. Nanny enjoyed teaching her grandbabies how to make trash to treasures.
