Benigno Medina, 85, passed away on Friday August 14, 2020. He was born to parents Antonia and Guadalupe Medina in Brownsville, Texas. Benigno was a retired Chief Master Sergeant in the Air Force, Honorable Discharge after 26 years of service, and retired after 20 years in the Postal Service. He was also a member of St. John’s Knights of Columbus #10256 and VFW post #4004.
Benigno is preceded in death by his first wife Felisitas Medina, sisters Mary, Connie, and Vicky, brother Guadalupe, and parents Guadalupe and Antonia.
He is survived by his wife Elvira Medina who he married on May 6, 2003, his children Benny R. and Ann Medina of Montgomery, Alabama, David And Rachel Medina of San Angelo, Texas, Ruben and Staci Medina of Cedar Hill, Texas, Joseph and Terri Garza of Midland, Jason and Larissa Pittman of Monahans, Texas, Cory and Hilary Petree of Monahans, Texas, brother Mike DeLaTorre of California, 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Harkey Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Harkey Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Monahans Memorial Cemetery with Father Allan Oluoch officiating.
