It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cristina Rey Primera, who left this world peacefully on January 31, 2025, at the age of 97. Born on July 24, 1927, in Presidio, Texas, to Carmen Gonzales Rey and Catalina Fuentes Rey. Cristina enriched the lives of all who knew her during her remarkable journey.

Cristina devoted herself to her family as a loving homemaker, nurturing and raising her daughters and playing an essential role in the lives of her grandchildren. Her dedication as a grandmother was evident through the countless hours she spent with them, imparting wisdom and crafting cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Cristina found joy in gardening, tending to flowers and trees, and she had a special place in her heart for all animals.

Additionally, she enjoyed the challenge of shooting, showcasing her diverse interests and zest for life.

Above all, Cristina cherished her faith and her commitment to the church. She was an active member of the local church choir and served as a Eucharistic minister. Her compassionate heart led her to volunteer tirelessly, helping prepare meals for those in need, and nurturing her community through her service.
