Gilberto Daniel Venegas, 35 years old, passed away on March 5, 2022, in Monahans, Texas.
Daniel was born on August 9, 1986, in Monahans, Texas to Maria Olga Venegas-Cerda. He was raised and grew up in Monahans.
As a teenager he would spend his summers in the family ranch in Mexico with his grandparents. There he would learn to ride horses and be his grandpas right hand man on upkeeping the ranch.
His hobbies even from a young age were cars. Putting together toy model cars when he was a child to rebuilding cars in full as he got older. He was a passionate skateboarder and very fearless on his stunts. He enjoyed listening to music and being a DJ at various events. Drawing was a big part of his life he was very artistic and loved doing graffiti through the notebooks.
A letter from his wife Jamie- “When I met Daniel, it was like a fairytale he walked into my job we laid eyes on each other, and it was the true love at that very moment. We talked for hours like we had known each other forever. And had been best friends ever since we never had a dull moment always full of love and laughter. He was the best father and did everything he could for our family. I love you so much Dani you are my rock, my world, and my everything. Until we meet again your wife Jamie”
He is survived by his wife, Jamie Venegas; Children (Adrian Ordonez, Sunny Barriga, Aiden Temple, Wyatt Johnson, Abigail Johnson); Mother (Maria Olga Venegas-Cerda); Stepfather (Abraham Cerda) Sisters (Priscilla Rodriguez, Erica Quiroz); Brother In Laws (Ruben Rodriguez, Oscar Quiroz); Nieces & Nephews (Ivy Adamson, RJ Rodriguez, Hallie Adamson, Gabriel Venegas, Angela Adamson, Anthony Rodriguez, Omar Quiroz, Samuel Quiroz, Katherine Rodriguez, Serina Quiroz, Serenity Quiroz); Aunts & Uncles (Thencha & Jorge Nieto, Maria Cruz Najar, Hilda & Jorge Vazquez, Elida & Alonso Rodriguez, Hector & Amparo Venegas).
Daniel is preceded in death by grandparents, Gilberto, and Theresa Venegas.
He will also be remembered and dearly missed by numerous cousins, second cousins, and friends.
His visitation will be held at Harkey Funeral Home on March 8, 2022, from 9:00pm to 5:00pm.
His Rosary will be on Tuesday March 8,2022, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 7:00pm, and his mass will be the following day at 2:00pm at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with his burial to follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
