David Sotelo

David Ortiz Sotelo, 56 of Odessa Texas, passed away on April 1, 2020 in Odessa, Texas. David was born in Monahans, Texas to Dolores Sr. Sotelo and Nicanora Ortiz Sotelo on January 26, 1964.

David married his wife Tammy on December 31, 2002 in Odessa, Texas. He worked for the Manor Crest Apartments as a maintenance man for over 10 years. He loved work and all the people he worked with became his best friends.  David also had a passion for music, some of his favorite bands were Pantera and Ozzy Osbourne. David played the bass guitar in many different bands with his brothers since high school. He enjoyed fishing, camping and bike riding and he loved his Dallas Cowboys.

David is proceeded in death by his parents; Dolores Sr. and Nicanora Sotelo, son Nikki Sotelo and brother Mario Sotelo.

He is survived by wife Tammy Sotelo, granddaughter Juliana Sotelo of Midland,Tx., step children Nicholas Salazar and wife Evelyn of Monahans, Tx and Ashley Salazar of Odessa, Tx, sister Irma Acosta, brothers Jr. Sotelo, Felipe Sotelo and wife Rhonda, Hector Sotelo and wife Lisa all of Monahans, Tx., Jaime Sotelo and wife Noami of Odessa, Tx., Grandchildren, Anthony O’harrow, Aden Salazar, Amaris Salazar, JC Salazar, Elijah Salazar, Caleb Salazar of Monahans, Tx., Angel Birdsong, Phoebe Birdsong, Josiah Tarango, Drita Zarate, Jordan Zarate, Liliana Gallegos of Odessa, Tx. and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
