Donald Gene Todd, 87, passed away very peacefully on February 21, 2025, in San Angelo, Texas. He was born on September 16, 1937, to Ray and Lavelle (Belue) Todd in Eunice, New Mexico.

Don graduated from Hobbs High School in Hobbs, New Mexico in 1955. He served in the US Navy, working in Naval Intelligence, serving in San Francisco, California, and Honolulu, Hawaii. After an honorable discharge from the Navy, he went to work for El Paso Natural Gas, in Jal, New Mexico retiring in 1996, after 30 years of employment. After retirement, he remained in his beloved home of Jal. He loved his family fiercely and was always active in his twin sons, Jerry and Terry’s school activities. He followed them through football, basketball, baseball, and golf, never missing an opportunity to watch and support them. In his later years, he was an avid follower of all Jal sports, but he especially loved girls' sports, being the first one to show up and take his seat in the bleachers for each volleyball, basketball, and softball game. Don was a gentleman but a giant in his character. He was loved by all who knew him. He was bigger than life in his family’s and friend’s lives.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Lavelle Todd; his sisters, Linda Todd Avent and Glenda Todd Owen; and his beloved nephew, Jeff Harkey.

He is survived by his sons, Jerry Todd of Midland and Terry Todd and fiancé, Allison Mills of Vail, Arizona; 3 grandchildren, Zachary Todd and wife, Laurie, Taryn Todd and partner, Victor Medina and Tanner Todd and wife, Abbygail; 5 great-grandchildren, Brooks James Todd, Emersyn Kate Todd, Kelby Ray, Brody Lane, and Hudson Rowdy Todd; his brother, Ronald Todd of Norman, Oklahoma; his sister, Judy Todd Harkey, and husband, Jackie of Odessa. Don was bigger than life to his nieces and nephews and loved by so many. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
