Elaine Rives

Elaine Lucille Rives, 85, of Monahans, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Ward Memorial Hospital. She was born December 11, 1929 in Dubuque, Iowa to William Arthur and Alma Lucille (Hand) Cordery.

She was a homemaker and a longtime resident of Pyote. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Claud Winson Rives; and parents, William and Alma Cordery.

Elaine is survived by her sons, David Lee Rives and wife Molly of Florissant, MO, Russell Paul Rives of Pyote, Richard Wayne Rives and wife Traci of Fort Worth, and Claud Winson Rives, Jr. and wife Vicki of Bandara; daughters, Annetta Rives Calaway and husband Rickie of Pyote, Deborah Shirey of Lubbock, and Linda McDaniel and Hank Hollen of Monahans; brother, William A. Cordery of Auburn, CA; sisters, Betty Nixon of Canon City, CO and Sally Boyd of Coal Creek, CO; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be held Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 2 - 8 PM at Harkey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, June 1, 2015 at 10 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Matthew Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Pyote Cemetery.
