Elida Ramirez

Elida Garcia Ramirez, 67, of Grandfalls, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Midland Memorial Hospital. She was born December 24, 1947 in Marathon, TX to Ynez and Manuela (Fuentes) Garcia.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ynez and Manuela Garcia; brothers, Juan, Ramon and Alvaro Garcia; and sister, Elodia Garcia.

Elida is survived by her husband, Margarito Ramirez of Grandfalls; sons, Armando Ramirez and Jaime Ramirez, both of Grandfalls, and Martin Ramirez of Monahans; daughters, Olivia Anaya and husband Anthony of Grandfalls and Valerie Martinez and husband Jose Luis of Imperial; brother, Merardo Garcia and wife Margie of Monahans; sisters, Rosa Olivas and husband Manuel of Grandfalls and Mary Gonzales and husband Antonio of Jal, NM; and 5 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2015 from 1 - 8 PM, Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 9 AM - 10 PM and Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 9 AM - 10 PM at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church in Grandfalls. The Rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 7 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 9, 2015 at 11 AM at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Salas officiating. Burial will follow in Tamarisk Cemetery.
