Ernestine Bent

Ernestine Julian Bent, 95, of Monahans, Texas passed away to be with her Lord and Savior on February 10, 2018 in Monahans, Texas.

Ernestine was born on April 1, 1922 in Dallas, Texas to Ernest and Corneliaus Coleman. Ernestine attended Stamford High School in Stamford, Texas.

In 1937 Ernestine married Edward Stewart and to this union was born a child named Corneliaus Faye.
She lived most of her life out in Palm Spring, CA and moved back to Texas in the early 1970's.
Ernestine was employed by Delores Watson and family of Monahans, Texas for over 20 years.

Ernestine is preceded in death by here father; Ernest Coleman, mother; Corneliaus McDade, and a son-in-law; Hardin Covington Sr.

Ernestine is survived by her daughter; Corneliaus Faye Covington, four grandsons; Hardin Convington Jr. and wife Yvette of Kerrville, Texas, Russell Covington Sr. Iraan, Texas, Ernest Covington and wife Theresa of Dallas, Texas, Robert Covington of Odessa, Texas, six great grandchildren; Hardin Covington III, Myles Covington Sr., Celica Covington, Russell Covington Jr., Ta'Khira Covington, Ebony Covington, seven great-great grandchildren; Nico Covington, Amelia Covington, Myles Covington Jr., Olivia Covington, Paradise, Faith, and Kellen.

Pallbearers will be Hardin Covington Jr., Hardin Covington III, Russell Covington Sr., Russell Covington Jr., Robert Covington, Myles Covington Sr., Honorary Pallbearer will be Ernest Covington.

Viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., family visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2018 at Harkey Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday 17, 2018 at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
