Esperanza Sanchez Holguin, 70, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Monahans, Texas.
She was born in Monahans, Texas on April 13, 1950 to parents Reynaldo and Guadalupe Sanchez.
Esperanza was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Besides spending time with her family and friends, she devoted her lifetime to helping those around her. She was apart of organizations such as the Salvation Army, Feeding America, and played a big role in the AIDS pandemic such as, providing comfort and symptoms management to several patients. She was a strong political advocate, a devout Catholic, and worked several years in Home Health Hospice, specializing in wound care. She enjoyed the company of others and made many memories and friends in her lifetime.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Reynaldo and Guadalupe Sanchez.
Esperanza is survived by her loving husband Joe I. Holguin. Her children; Joe I. Holguin and wife Corina Almanza of Gainesville, Texas, Joanna Ortiz and husband James Ortiz of Odessa, Texas, Michael Holguin and wife Rebecca of Fort Worth, Texas along with her siblings; Yolanda Flores of Odessa, Texas, Elisa Esparza of Monahans, Texas, Ray Sanchez and wife Sylvia of Odessa, Texas, Ernesto Sanchez and wife Belia of Monahans, Texas, Donald Sanchez and wife Edith of Odessa, Texas, and Martin Sanchez of Odessa, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren Austen Holguin, Alexander Holguin, Brian Wise, Analaura Holguin, Bryce Ortiz, and Brandy Ortiz.
