Ethelene Jean-Louis

Ethelene Ramsey Jean-Louis was born July 7, 1950 to Howard Ramsey Jr. and Ethel Moore Ramsey. She was the third child of thirteen. She attended the Monahans School system and graduated at Fort Stockton High School in 1969. She loved shopping, gardening, nursing and caring for people and she loved her family. She attended nursing school in Odessa and received her LVN nursing license at Howard University in Big Spring Texas. She worked in various hospitals and became the office manager and office nurse of her late husband.


She married Dr. Hubert Jean-Louis October 8, 1990 and continued to work in his office as his office nurse and office manager. They were married 33 years until his demise. To the union brought together 4 children: Jacqueline Lyvonne Montgomery, Cheryl Denice Montgomery, Tisha Ladawn Montgomery and Shanayia Monya-Royal Myers.
Ethelene received Christ in her life at an early age and then rededicated her life back to Christ in January 2019. She loved to play the tambourine for the lord when attending church.


She is preceded in death by her late husband Dr. Hubert Jean-Louis, her father Howard Ramsey Jr II, grandparents Howard Ramsey Sr., Alberta Brown, Rena Bell Moore and Leslie M. Moore, her sister Joyce Marie Roy, her brother Minister Bruce Douglas Ramsey, her brother Michael Wayne Ramsey. Brother in laws Clayton Roy and Dennis Bequette.


On February 8, 2019 God chose to take our beloved Ethelene to be with him. She leaves to CHERISH HER LIFE her mother Ethel Moore Ramsey of Monahans, TX. Her daughters Jacqueline Lyvonne Montgomery, Cheryl Denice Montgomery, Tisha Ladawn Montgomery and Shanayia Monya-Roya l Myers. Grandchildren, Jacuelyn Anastacya- Dante Montgomery, De' Ambra La-Kye Torres, Shauquer Montgomery, TreVonte Montgomery.Great grand childrens Janayah Navay Montgome ry, Jeremiah Nathaniel Montgomery, Re' Daveyon Michael Montgomery A'neycia Marie Torres, A'lani Isabella Torres, Zayshawn Hinojos. Lee Ashton Fletcher and Kealynn Marie Fletcher. Four brothers James E. Ramsey and David L. (Wanda) Ramsey of Denver Colorado, Howard Ramsey Jr. III (Rosa) of Houston Texas, Kenneth J. Ramsey of Sweetwater, Five sisters Pauline Bequette and Carolyn Harris of Henderson Nevada, Alberta Cartwright (Roylee), Barbara Covington (Richard) and Kathy Ann Ramsey all of Monahans Texas. She will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She has received her wings and is now home with her loving husband, father, brothers and sister.


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ located at 508 N. Harry in Monahans, Texas, burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Milton Mitchell conducting, and Bishop John W. Hill officiating.
