Francis Michael Wilson, 94, of Crushing, Oklahoma passed away September 23, 2018 in Black Hawk, South Dakota.
Visitation will be held all day, Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Charlotte Butler's home at 215 6th St. Grandfalls, Texas 79742. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 28, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Grandfalls, Texas with Buck Love officiating. Burial will follow at Tamarisk Cemetery in Grandfalls, Texas.
Francis Michael Wilson was born in Crushing, Oklahoma to James Wesley Wilson and Mercy Emily Chamberlain on March 28, 1924. He went to school at Crushing. He married Lorene Augustus Wagnon on January 21, 1960 in Crushing, Oklahoma. He worked as a roughneck for many oil field companies. He is an Army veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He was awarded the Bronze Star and many others.
Francis is preceded in death by his father; James Wesley Wilson, mother; Mercy Emily Wilson, daughter; Connie Francis Smith, step son; Sammy Glenn Tinnie, grandson; William Edward Smith Jr., two brothers, and five sisters.
Francis is survived by his daughter; Rhonda Corean of Black Hawk, South Dakota, son; Randy Wilson of Joshua, Texas, step daughters; Darlene Sale of Joshua, Texas, Charlotte Butler of Grandfalls, Texas, step son; Paul Tinnie of Crushing, Oklahoma, 17 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and many great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Michael Butler, Terry Butler, Shane Wilson, Bradley Wilson, Larry Nichols Jr., and Zachary Butler.
