Frank Cox Jr

Frank Cox, Jr., "Pappy", 81, of Monahans, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. He was born January 8, 1934 in Travis County, Texas to Frank and Rachel (Pruitt) Cox.

He was drafted into the United States Navy and proudly served his country from December 1955 - September 1957. He was a coonhunter and loved his hound dogs. Pappy loved hunting on the Pecos River. He worked for White Well Service, Three B Oil Company, and Best Made Design. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and had many friends.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Judy Kay Cox; sons, Frank Allen, Jr., Mike Allen Gray and Marvin Woodrow Gray; daughters, Wynona Cox and Diane Sort; 3 sisters; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 20, 2015 from 9 AM - 8 PM at Harkey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 10 AM at Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Stan Huffty officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
