Freddie Lee Wilder, 77 of Monahans, passed away on January 27th, 2021 at 12:35 PM in El Paso, Texas.
Freddie Lee Wilder was born in Monahans, Texas to Arthur William Wilder and Clara Ruth Grigry on November 21st, 1943 at 4:31 AM.
Fred attended Monahans High School. He enlisted in the Navy at the age of 17 serving 6 years for which he was extremely honored. He greatly served many Texas communities during his prestigious 32 years in law enforcement, he was proud of being a sharpshooter on the Bedford SWAT team, a firearms instructor and trainer for many law enforcement agencies. He also served in the Monahans Volunteer Fire Department. He was an active member of the Blue Knights which is a Law Enforcement only motorcycle club from Hurst Euless Bedford area. Even after his retirement from Ward County Sheriff’s Office in 2005, he continued to work diligently in West Texas.
Freddie Lee Wilder is preceded in death by his parents Arthur William Wilder, Clara Ruth Adams and husband Clyde Adams and his son Scott Wilder.

Sisters- Annie Castle and Christi Hiers of Holly Hill, FL, Susan Spoor and husband Bill and Connie Anderson of Douglas, GA
Uncles- Leon and Wayne Grigry
Aunts- Billie Ragan, Polly Flatt and Donna Hunt
Pallbearers- Jody Grigry, Adrian Franco, Ben Grigry, Joshua Higgins, Hector Jr. Venegas, Bryan Venegas
Viewing will be on both Wednesday and Thursday from 9 AM – 1PM at Harkey Funeral Home.
Rosary will be at 2 PM on Wednesday, February 3rd at St. Johns Catholic Church.
Funeral mass will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, February 4th at St. Johns Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
