Gala Zan Stout

Gala Zan Stout was born on November 8, 1964, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to Larry John Kight and Patricia Ann Baker. She passed away on March 2, 2025, in El Paso, TX. at the age of 60.

Gala graduated from Monahans High School in 1983. She had many favorite activities, including watching football—especially the Dallas Cowboys—chicken fights, camping and fishing with her husband, Dale, and enjoying Liverpool games with her family. She also loved playing softball, hosting backyard BBQs, spending time with her grandkids, and playing games on her phone.

She is preceded in death by her father, Larry Kight, and her mother-in-law, Lawana Oliver.

Gala is survived by her husband of more than 35 years, Dale Stout; her mother, Patsy, of Hobbs, New Mexico; her brother Jimmy and sister-in-law Susan Kight of Blackwell, Texas; her sons Rusty and Angelica Kight of Hobbs, NM; Tyree Stout; Rudy Stout of Monahans; Harvey Stout of Sherman; Daniel and Sandy Stout of Tennessee; Jacob Stout of Fort Worth; and her daughter Hollie and Gabe of Odessa. She leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Harkey Funeral Home.
