George Mcneme

George Ann McNeme, 85, of Monahans, Texas, passed away on March 20, 2018 in Monahans.

Funeral services were held on March 24, 2018, at Bethel Baptist Church with her nephew, Eldon Fowler, officiating. Burial followed at the Ward Memorial Cemetery.

George Ann was born in Odessa, Texas, to George and Gladys Goodman, on February 18, 1933.

She went to school at Monahans, Texas. She was married to Dee McNeme on February 24, 1947 in Pecos, Texas. George Ann held an associate degree and worked as a real estate agent in Ward County for many years. She was a member of the Grandfalls Eastern Star for over 50 years, received a good citizens award for the many aspects of her service to her community. George Ann was a member of the First Baptist Church of Monahans, Texas.

George Ann is survived by her husband, Dee and two daughters, Deanna Runningwater of Ruidoso, New Mexico and Glenda Younger of Abilene, Texas. She was blessed with 5 grandkids, 16 great grandkids and 8 great great grandkids, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Allan Malagrigo, Jamison Wright, Shane Mooring, Cody Mooring, Sam Graves, her grandson, Cole Younger. Honorary Pallbearer was Jim Carney.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Thaung and the Sandhills Clinic, all the extraordinary personnel at the Ward Memorial Hospital and swingbed program and to her nephew Eldon Fowler.
