Gerald Wayne Weldy, 73 of Monahans, TX, went to join our Heavenly Father on December 22, 2018 in Odessa, TX.
Gerald Weldy was born, March 26, 1945 in Carlsbad, NM. to Earl Curtis and Marion Maude Stewart. He married Linda C. on October 14, 1995 in Monahans, TX. Gerald worked as a rig mechanic for Rig Works for 8+ years.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 between the hours of 9am to 8pm at Harkey Funeral Home.
A family visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Harkey Funeral Home.
Celebration of Life services will be Friday, December 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm with burial to follow at Monahans Cemetery. Officiating will be Danny "Duct Tape" Morriss.
Gerald was a very loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, nephew and uncle. He was full of life and he would do anything for anybody. Gerald cared for everyone and he will be deeply missed by all.
Pallbearers will be: Bradley Kelly, Cody Kelly, Gage Kelly, Travis Weldy, Ronnie Graham Jr., Patrick Dempsey, David Dempsey, Dwayne Dempsey and Joe Thompson.
Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, several aunts, 1 sister, 1 brother and 3 grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Linda C. Weldy, his son Jimmy Weldy and wife Tonya Ritchey of Monahans and their 5 children, his son Timothy Weldy and wife Becky of Monahans, TX and their 2 children, his daughter Julie Kelly of Wickett, TX and her 3 children, his daughter Tonya Williams and husband Christopher of Thortonville, TX and their 3 children, his step-daughter Barbara Treadaway and husband Clay of Del Rio, TX and their 3 children, his step-son Ronnie Graham Jr. and wife Debra of Monahans, TX and their 3 children, his brother Kenneth Weldy of Pflugerville, TX and a sister-in-law Jane Weldy of Hobbs, NM and several nephews, nieces, grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and a few great-great grandchildren.
