Greg Edward Sanchez, 41, born on February 3, 1983, in Monahans, Texas, was tragically taken from this world on January 17, 2025, in Pecos, Texas, his essence remains alive in the hearts of those who cherished him.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Harkey Funeral Home, with the Rosary at St. John the Apostle and Evangelist Catholic Church starting at 7:00 PM. A Mass will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at St. John the Apostle and Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Joe officiating.

Greg dedicated many years of his professional life to working as a contract pumper in the oilfield, where he was known for his hard work and willingness to learn new things. His commitment to his job mirrored his dedication to his family, which was at the forefront of his life. He was a protector, tirelessly ensuring the well-being of his loved ones.

A man of a caring nature, Greg had a good heart and was always eager to help anyone in need. He was a blunt individual, often expressing his thoughts with honesty and straightforwardness, which those close to him appreciated. His family-oriented personality shone through in all aspects of his life, especially in the time he cherished with his loved ones, particularly his grandchild, whom he adored.

In addition to his love for family, Greg found joy in his hobbies. A fan of gaming, he enjoyed playing Xbox and was a die-hard Houston Texans fan, Greg delighted in teasing his mother, Yolanda, about her loyalty to the Dallas Cowboys, adding playful warmth to their relationship. His favorite color was red, a vibrant representation of his spirited personality. His passion for life extended to his four-legged best friend, who brought him immense joy and comfort.

Greg is preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Juanita Ortega; his grandparents, Gregorio and Maria Cadena; his uncles, Miguel Sanchez and Esteban Raul (Rolo) Cadena; his cousin, Mike Sanchez; his father and mother-in-law, Jesus and Angela Garcia; and his grandmother-in-law, Aurora (Ama) Acosta.

Greg's departure leaves a significant void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Aurora Garcia Sanchez; his son, Devon Sanchez and wife, Nayali; his daughter, Noveah Dyer and husband, Aidan; his devoted mother, Yolanda Sanchez; his stepfather, Mike Hokerk; his grandchild, Ezra Sanchez; his four-legged fur baby, Spartacus; and numerous aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Pallbearers are as follows: Devon Sanchez, Noveah Dyer, Aidan Dyer, Cristian Garcia, Orlando Acosta, and Michael Oyerbides.
