Ida Galindo

Ida Galindo, 84, of Monahans, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Ward Memorial Hospital. She was born September 19, 1930 in Marfa, TX to Gonzalo and Dorotea (Leyva) Galindo.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gonzalo and Dorotea Galindo; and sister, Elva Galindo.

Ida is survived by her son, Fernando Galindo and wife Blanca of Monahans; daughters, Olga Terrazas and husband Sebastian Cervantes, Irma Ortiz and husband Joel, and Julia Galindo and husband Marcos Millan, all of Monahans; sisters, Irene Galindo of Pecos and Gloria Holguin of Odessa; 7 grandchildren, Amy Galindo, Fernando Galindo, Jr., Megan Galindo, Michael Ortiz, Estefana Galindo, Adriana Millan and Monica Ortiz; and 4 great-grandchildren, Nickolas Galindo, Anjelina Salgado, Joel Jay Salgado, Jr., and Mina Juarez.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 1 - 9 PM at Harkey Funeral Home with the Rosary being recited at 7 PM. Funeral services will be Monday, September 14, 2015 at 2 PM at St. John Catholic Church with Fr. James Hall officiating, followed by interment at Monahans Memorial Cemetery. Sebastian Cervantes, Joel Ortiz, Marcos Millan, Fernando Galindo, Jr., Michael Ortiz, and Nickolas Galindo will serve as pallbearers.
