Jacque was born and raised in Chattanooga Tennessee, where she met and married her childhood sweetheart James Scotty Garner. For over three decades the two lived in several states including Virginia, Louisiana, and New Mexico before calling Texas home.
Jacque lived a life of adventure where she backpacked for days at a time through Glacier National, Yosemite, The Rockies and Tetons. She has hiked across the continental divide twice. She traveled the world including Europe, Australia, and China where she truly appreciated the sights and cultures.
Jacque was a gourmet foodie. Dining out and exploring new menus or preparing exotic dishes at home was a true passion. Always entertaining at the table with food, wine and conversation. Her fun loving personality never allowed a boring moment.
Jacque is survived by her daughter and three sons. She was blessed with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Everyone in the family loved being around her.
Jacque definitely got the most out of her life with perseverance, passion, and patience.
Jacque passed away on October 19, 2020. The world definitely got smaller with her passing and we will miss her dearly. She is on a new adventure now with God while being reunited in heaven with her husband.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Monahans Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Stephen White officiating.
Memorials and in lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital.
