James Boysaw

September 10, 1939 — June 14, 2015

James Edward Boysaw, 75, of Monahans, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Ward Memorial Hospital. He was born September 10, 1939 in Rusk, TX to James Boysaw and Elenora McCalister.

James had a strong faith in God and believed in service. He was a very generous and giving man. He attended Shiloh Baptist church serving as a Deacon. He was in the oilfield business in Monahans for more than 30 years. It was not always easy but he really enjoyed working. He also enjoyed the many family gatherings and reunions where he was typically a lead organizer. He had many friends that he met every day to drink coffee with at the Wickett truck stop. He has touched many lives and was always a positive motivator for all his kids, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and grandkids. He had a great life and will be truly missed. We Love you James E. Boysaw "Mighty Fine"!!!!

He is preceded in death by his father, James Boysaw; stepfather, Edell McCalister; brother, Roger McCalister; and brother-in-law, Willie Jones.

James is survived by his wife of 55 years, Cloteal Boysaw of Monahans; sons, Carl J. Boysaw and wife Amy of Monahans, Rickey Boysaw and wife Mindy of Conroe, and Kenya Boysaw and wife Elise of Phoenix, AZ; daughters, LaSandra Conley and husband Darryl of Rockwall and Shelia Cannon and husband Leroy of Las Vegas, NV; mother, Elenora McCalister of Monahans; brothers, Paul McCalister and wife Ann, and Kenny McCalister and wife Marcella, all of Monahans; sisters, Carolyn Jones of Andrews, Joyce McCalister of Andrews, and Nancy Benford and husband Lane of Beaumont; sister-in-law, Delores McCalister of San Antonio; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 1 - 8 PM and Friday, June 19, 2015 from 9 AM - 8 PM at Harkey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 11 AM at First Baptist Church with Pastor Jeppie Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
