James Nay

James Edwin Nay, 85, of Monahans, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 at his residence. He was born July 16, 1929 in Anson, TX to Harley Edwin and Anna Ruth (Earp) Nay.

He worked as a plant operator for Cabot Estes in Wickett for 18 years and he was an active member of the Wickett Church of Christ.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Ruth Nay.

James is survived by his wife, Wilma Faye Nay of Monahans; sons, Michael Bruce Nay of Royalty, James Edwin Nay, Jr. "Jim Bob" of Monahans, and Stephen Lawrence Nay and wife Nancy of Monahans; sister, Wanda Ruth Hardy of May, TX; 4 grandchildren, Amy Prough and husband Wesley, Lori Stava and husband David, Candice Nay and Branden Nay; 2 great grandchildren, Jaxon Stava and Dylan Prough; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 11 AM - 8 PM at Harkey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, March 20, 2015 at 2 PM at Harkey Funeral Home chapel with Bill Gaston officiating. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
