It is with great sadness that the family of Janet Gerald Howell announce her passing after a brief illness on Thursday, October 10, 2018, at the age of 62 years. Jan was the daughter of Frances Overstreet Gerald and L.D. Gerald. She was born in Andrews, Texas on December 10, 1955. She lived most of her life in Monahans and attended Monahans High School.
She is survived by her three daughters: Natalie Hendericks (Gordon) of El Paso, Michelle Robles (David) of San Antonio, Pam Howell (Jacob) of San Antonio. Grandchildren: Elvis Molina (Brandi), K'Lee Molina, Tyler Harp, Mason Lusk, Madeleine Lusk, and Grace Hendricks. Brother: Dennis Hargrove (Candace) of Lubbock. Sister: Pam Davison (Bill) of Monahans. Nephews: Chris Jordan (Erin), and Derek Jordan (Jaimie). Nieces: Allison Moore (Brandon), Denice Mendez (Victor). Grand-nephews: Cameron Moore, and Cory Karr. Grand-nieces: Rachel Karr, Delaney Mendez, and Brianna Mendez: and many dear friends.
Jan was a very loving and caring mother, sister, Nana, and aunt. She will be greatly missed by all.
Jan had spent the last couple of years of her life at the Focused Care Nursing Home Facility. The nurses and staff members were very special to Jan. She loved greeting new residents and assisting the staff.
There will be a memorial service held at the First United Methodist Church in Monahans on Saturday, October 13th at 2:00 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Harkey Funeral Home with Reverend Beth Harrington of First United Methodist Church officiating.
