Janice Brooks

Janice Ione Brooks, 63, of Odessa, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 at her residence. She was born November 22, 1951 in Monahans to George and Ione (Hubbard) Wade, Sr.

Jan was a dispatcher for 31 years with ECISD. She was also a driver for the Boys & Girls Club and has been an Odessa High Broncho fan since 1977.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Ione Wade, Sr.; sister, Patsy Ford; and nephew, Gary Ford.

Janice is survived by her husband, David Brooks of Odessa; son, Jay Brooks of Jacksonville, FL; daughters, Stefanie Weaks of Odessa, Stacie Webb and husband Troy of Odessa, and Becky Brooks of Coleman; brother, George Wade, Jr. of Monahans; brother-in-law, John Ford of Odessa; 2 grandchildren, Aubry Brooks and Carson Webb; numerous nieces, nephews, 1 great-niece, and countless friends and family.

Viewing will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 11 AM - 8 PM at Harkey Funeral Home in Monahans. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6 - 8 PM. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 11 AM at Harkey Funeral Home with Pastor Clydell Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery. Dustin Ford, Logan Ford, Joe Commander, Gary Don Huey, Steven Curd, and Garrett Nock will serve as pallbearers.
