Janice Hammond

Janice Hammond, 89, of Monahans, passed away May 20, 2015 at Monahans Managed Care Center. She was born November 15, 1925 in Colorado City to James Wimberly and Donna "Sue" (McAdoo) Butler.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Monahans chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and Southside Baptist Church.

Janice is survived by her husband, Edward Scott Hammond of Monahans; son, James P. "Jimmy" Hammond and wife Terri of Monahans; daughters, Lori Sue Morgan and husband Roy of Monahans and Frances G. McPheeters and husband Ronnie of Kingsland; 3 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 22, 2015 from 10 AM - 8 PM with the family receiving friends from 6 - 8 PM. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 2 PM at Southside Baptist Church with Pastor Jeremy Sturdivant officiating. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
