Jerry Lee Carrasco, 49, of Toyah, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Reeves County Hospital in Pecos. He was born August 26, 1965 in Odessa to Severo Vallejo and Manuela (Vargas) Carrasco, Jr.
He worked as a diesel mechanic and enjoyed anything to do with cars. He loved being with his family, during BBQ's and loved music. Jerry grew up in Odessa. He lived life to the fullest and would always tell us that "women were crazy." We'd respond by telling him that somehow he would seem to forget that behind every crazy woman was a man that made her that way. He had the coolest, smirky smile. You could always recognize him by his favorite saying "que gacho."
He is preceded in death by his father, Severo Vallejo Carrasco; and grandparents, David G. and Virginia H. Vargas.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Jessica D. Carrasco of Pecos; son, Joe Angel Dominguez of Pecos; daughters, Rebecca Nicole Carrasco of Odessa and Jaquelyn Carrasco of Pecos; mother, Manuela Vargas Carrasco of Monahans; brothers, Gilbert and Eddie Carrasco; and sisters, Kathy Carrasco, Michelle Carrasco and wife Mary, Sonia Carrasco and husband George Mitchell, and Sabrina Sotelo and husband Danny.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 10 AM - 1 PM at Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church in Monahans. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM at the church with Rev. Stan Huffty officiating. Gilbert Carrasco, Eddie Carrasco, Joe Angel Dominguez, George Mitchell, Gilbert James Carrasco, Michael Leal and Jaime Alvarez will serve as pallbearers.
