Josefa Fuentes

Josefa Navarrette Fuentes, 84, passed away on February 11, 2020 in Monahans, Texas. Josefa was born on November 12, 1935 in Barrancos de Guadalupe, Chihuahua, Mexico to Marcina Machuca Navarrette and Francisco Navarrette. She married the love of her life Domingo Estorga Fuentes on December 28, 1956 in Presidio, Texas.

Josefa was a lifelong member of St. John Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Association, Cursillistas, and Group De Horacion. She was a loving wife, mother, and celebrated her Naturalization on December 15, 1994.

Josefa is preceded in death by her parents; Marcina Machuca Navarrette and Francisco Navarrette, sons; Javier Fuentes,Gabriel Fuentes, daughter; Maria Fuentes and granddaughter; Jennifer Nicole Garcia.

She is survived by her loving husband; Domingo Fuentes, sons; Jenaro Fuentes and wife Pam, Domingo Fuentes Jr. and fiancé Janet, Andres Fuentes and wife Regina, Juan Fuentes and wife Kristen, daughters; Eva Santiago and husband Antonio, Elpidia Contreras and husband Ruben, Carmen Fuentes and fiancé Joseph, 24 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one sister; Irene Corrales.

A mother’s love is always with her children. Losing a mother is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know. But her goodness, her caring, and her wisdom live on-like a legacy of love that will always be with you. May that love surround you now and bring you peace.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Harkey Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 13, 2020 at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 14, 2020 at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church.
