Juan Olibas

Juan Garcia Olibas gained his wings and went peacefully to be with out Lord on Monday, September 28, 2020. Juan was born in Colorado City, Texas on January 19, 1940 to his parents Angel and Elvira Olibas.

He was a lifelong resident of Monahans, Texas. Anyone who knew Juan knew he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. Something he often mentioned, he was unendingly proud of his children and grandchildren and always tried his best to support them.

Juan is proceeded in death by his parents; Angel and Elvira Olibas, brother Angel Olibas, infant sister Elida Olibas.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Maria Socorro Olibas. His brothers, Pascual G. Olibas and wife Carmen of Monahans, Texas, Gomesindo Olibas and wife Delia of Lubbock, Texas, sisters Gloria Hernandez and husband Prajedes of Victoria, Texas, Anita Valencia and husband Severano of Monahans, Texas and Alma Cavazos and husband Joe of Crane, Texas. His sons Johnny Olibas and wife Nellie of Marble Falls, Texas, Pascual Q. Olibas and wife Cheryl of El Paso, Texas daughters, Elaine Fine and husband Steve of Monahans, Texas and Dina Williams and husband David of Artesia, New Mexico, grandchildren Johnny Ray, Stefan, Francesca, Justin, Cameron, April, Kailey along with, many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Juan will be greatly missed by family and friends, but we are comforted knowing that our angel is flying high relieved of all pain and suffering. May he Rest in Peace.

Rosary for Juan Olibas will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 4:00PM. Mass will be held Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 10:00AM with burial to follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
