Juan Tarin Sr.

Juan Madrid Tarin, 77, of Midland, TX, passed away on November 26, 2018 at his home.

Prayer Service will be held Friday, November 30, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at Harkey Funeral Home in Monahans, TX. Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. at Monahans Memorial Cemetery on Saturday, December 1, 2018.

Juan was born in Grandfalls, TX to Reyes & Francisca Tarin on March 27, 1941. He married Lucilla Carrasco on June 12, 1965. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War with the 173rd Airborne Brigade as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the Army and was awarded the: Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal with Valor, Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and a Meritorious Unit Citation. He was a loving father, husband, son and brother. Juan spent a life of service to his country, community, and loving family.

Juan is preceded in death by: his wife Lucilla Tarin, son Orlando Tarin; parent's Reyes & Francisca Tarin; Godparent's Felipe & Eleuteria Lascano; sisters Evangelina Hidalgo, and Anjelica Garcia; and brother Jesus Tarin.

Juan is survived by his daughter Elsa Tarin; sons Felipe Tarin and his wife Kristin, Juan Tarin Jr. and his wife Julie; grandchildren Bailey Tarin, Lynzi Tarin, Nathan Tarin, and Maddox Jones; sisters Aurora Garcia and Eloisa Corbell; brother Reyes Tarin Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.
