Anna Katheryn White of Monahans, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at her residence at the age of 87. She brought excitement and enthusiasm to every moment of her life and will be sorely missed by her family.
Katheryn was in the Nurse Cadet Corp during WW II and also worked at Ward County Hospital. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years. She was a Sunday school teacher and Vacation Bible School teacher at Immanuel Baptist Church. Katheryn was an excellent seamstress and professional doll maker and made dolls and stuffed animals for many friends and family.
Katheryn was a homemaker and caregiver during her life as she cared for her parents, her mother-in-law Willie Wade White, her brother Thomas Lewis and her brother-in-law Ray White. She gave freely of her time and provided loving care to help these special people in their sunset years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Stanley Lewis; brothers, John L. and Thomas Lewis; sister, Imogene; and one grandson, William White.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert Eugene White; daughters Katheryn Reich and J'Nevelyn White; sons Robert, Stanley and James White. She is also survived by one sister, Faye Hewitt. Katheryn is survived by sixteen grandchildren and their families: Larry and Laura Reich; Robert, Matthew, Edward, Darren, and Jacob White; Thomas Blom, Hans Blom, Scott, Michael, and Josh White; and Warren, Sam, and Eric White and Savannah Hayden. She was also blessed to have 28 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 28th at 10AM at Immanuel Baptist Church in Monahans, Texas.
