Lana Franco

Lana Renaee Franco, 65, of Monahans, TX, passed away on December 11, 2020 in El Paso, TX.

Lana was born in Monahans, TX to the late Roy C Neel and LaVerne Warden on August 26, 1955.

Lana was a school bus driver for MWPISD for 25 years before retiring in May 2019.  Before working for MWPISD, Lana worked at Super Burger and the Automotive Proving Grounds test track in Pecos, Texas, where she met the love of her life, Elias Franco, and spent almost 50 years together.

Lana is preceded in death by her brother, Brian Warden, her sister, Glenda Contreras, her stepfather, Jack Warden.

Lana is survived by her husband Elias Franco, sons, Joe and Kim Franco, Trey Franco and Cecilia Rodriguez, Micheal and Amanda Franco, all of Monahans, TX; brothers, Gayland and Teresa Neel of Hawkins, Texas, Gary and Nell Neel of Alpine, Texas, Michael Williams of Forney, Texas, and Jessie and Rhonda Warden of Monahans, Texas; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Brock Franco, Jarod West, Andrew Franco, Marcus Contreras, Tory Molinar, and Ethan Minjarez.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 17, 2020, from 12:30pm-4pm at Harkey Funeral Home.  Funeral will be held Friday, December 18, 2020, at 2:00pm, at First Baptist Church with pastor Chris Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.

Lana was known for loving her grandchildren “the mostest” and lived, loved and adored her family throughout her life.
