Larry Kent Bagley, 87, of Monahans, Texas passed away on May 20, 2021.

He was born in Loving, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. Edgar and Tommie Jo Bagley.

Larry grew up in McCamey, Texas. At the age of 9 years old, Larry worked with his father in the oil field and started with Honeywell in the early 1960’s. Trained in Philadelphia and based in Houston, Texas. His family moved to Comanche, Texas where he graduated at Comanche High School in 1953. He attended college at the A&M branch, John Tarleton for two years and then joined the United States Army, 8221 Division, supported by the field artillery. Stationed in Korea.

Anxious to get back to Texas, in 1975 Larry took a job with the N ReN plant in Plainview, Texas. Later, moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico for a short period. In 1977, Larry then took a job with Cabot Corporation in Hobbs, New Mexico, until moving to Monahans, Texas and retiring with Cabot Corporation in 1989. Not completely satisfied with retirement, Larry took on a job with Well Testing until his health made him retire.

He loved cars, hunting, and traveling with his wife. Larry was proud to serve his country and a proud Texan.

Larry is proceeded in death by his parents Edgar and Tommie Jo Bagley and brother Ronnie Bagley.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Gary Sinise foundation and the American Cancer Society.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to South Side Baptist Church and the family and friends that traveled to attend the services.
