Leonard Davis

Leonard Edward Davis Sr., 57, of Monahans, Texas passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

A Memorial Service will be held for Leonard 5:00 PM on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Harkey Funeral Home with Terry Willis officiating.

Leonard was born on July 22, 1965, in Snyder, Texas to Leon Davis and Etta Jean Hickson.

Leonard enjoyed the peacefulness and relaxation of the outdoors and fishing.  He also enjoyed working on cars and helping his friend work out on the ranch.  Most of all, Leonard enjoyed travelling when given the chance. Two of his most memorable places were Silver City, New Mexico and Ruidoso, New Mexico.

Leonard is preceded in death by his mother, Etta Hickson; sister, Sherri Farris; and grandmother, Mildred Powell.

He is survived by his wife, Renata Batie; sons, Leonard Davis Jr., Leon Davis, Leonard K Davis, Ja-rayveon White; daughters, LaNeisa Davis, Nevaeh Mitchem-White, LaNay Davis, LaNeic Davis, and LaShay Davis; brother, Terry Willis; 3 grandchildren; 2 nephews; and a host of aunts and cousins.

The family of Leonard Davis Sr. would like to thank Hospice of Monahans for their dedication to their work and patients, Lowe’s Grocery store in Monahans, Monahans High School Athletic Department and all the faculty, and Monahans Nipple-Up Oilfield Services, we are beyond grateful for all your compassion and kindness through this difficult time.
