Leonel Armando Miranda

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leonel Armando Miranda, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who left us peacefully on February 23, 2025, at the age of 67. Leonel was born on July 2, 1957, in Meoqui, Mexico, to Jesus and Josefa Miranda, where his journey began—a journey colored with love, laughter, and countless memories.

Leonel is preceded in death by his cherished parents. He leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted wife, Alma Rodriguez Miranda; his daughter, Magaly Hernandez; his sons, Sergio Miranda, Leonel Miranda Jr. and wife, Edith Miranda, and Jesus Raul Miranda “Chapulin” with partner Marisa Salazar. His legacy continues through nine beloved grandchildren: Vianney, Aren, Cienna, Elim, Genesis, Josue, Christian, Ariana, and Sophia Miranda, along with one great-grandchild, Leonel Elias Miranda.

Leonel filled the lives of those around him with joy and adventure. He had a passion for the outdoors, often found fishing and hunting, and cherished moments spent with family, especially his grandchildren, whose laughter he held dear. Leon had a special affinity for the sounds of Harley motorcycles, he also had a profound affection for horses and was known for his generosity and kindness—always willing to lend a listening ear or offer a warm embrace.

He was a master of good meals, delighting in Ribeye steaks, pistachios, a cold Coors beer, tequila on occasion, and his favorite, Jack Daniel’s #7. As we remember him, we take comfort in the thought that this is not goodbye; rather, it is a heartfelt "see you later" until we meet again, dear Leon.

Leonel's family will welcome friends and loved ones for a visitation on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Harkey Funeral Home from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held the same day, February 28, 2025, at 1:00 PM, also at Harkey Funeral Home.

As we gather in spirit to honor his incredible life, we are reminded of the words in Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Leon will be with us always, in our hearts and memories, as we celebrate the remarkable man he was.
