Linda Bustos

Linda Sue Bustos, 65, formerly of Monahans, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015 at her residence in Victoria, TX. She was born July 3, 1949 in Syracuse, NY to Tommy Lake and Gwendolyn Nell (Ford) Anderson.

She worked as a licensed drug & alcohol counselor, mentor, and rape crisis counselor. She was an amazing human being. She had to wear many different hats on her journey through life, and she wore them all the best. She will always be adored and missed. She inspired and touched the lives of so many people. The Lord truly blessed all who knew her….with a precious angel helping us in our own paths. Her love was always overflowing and she was such a kindred soul. ‘Til we see you again….

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus "Chuy" Bustos; parents, Tommy Lake, and Ray and Gwendolyn Anderson; sister, Teresa Sibenor; and grandchildren who passed away at birth.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Gwendolyn Nicole Johnson; son, Joseph Edward Stepps; stepsons, Jesse, Danny, and Tony Bustos; brothers, Alan and David Anderson; and sisters, Nancy Lake, Pamela Higginbotham, and Mary Wilson.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 6, 2015 from 11 AM - 8 PM at Harkey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 2 PM at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Gordon Cox officiating, followed by interment at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
