Luanna Oney

Luanna Oney, 47, passed away on May 4, 2018 in Monahans, Texas. She was born on February 12, 1971 to Manuel Sanchez and wife Carmen Garcia Sanchez in Monahans, Texas.

Luanna always enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos and after a win she loved to rub it in. Her favorite hobbies were gambling, playing pool, reading, and dancing. Luanna was a great mother and grandmother, she loved spending her time with her grandchildren. While living in Farmington she worked for Walmart and loved the area and her job. She was always trying to help everyone as much as she could. Luanna would give you the shirt off her back if she could. She was a strong and independent activist woman.

Luanna is preceded in death by her loving mother; Carmen Sanchez, brother; Sammy Sanchez, and nephew; Daniel Lee Whitehead.

She is survived by her husband; Stephen Oney, father; Manuel Sanchez, daughters; Vanessa Vasquez, Cynthia Vasquez, sisters; Terry Whitehead and husband Carl, Pamela Sanchez, Lorena Picaso and husband Vicente (Fernando), grandchildren; Adam Denmon, Alyssa Denmon, Alex Smith, Caylee Oney, Alana Sanchez, Sariyah Gash, Adaline Gash, Marco "Polo" Gash, Daylin Sanchez, numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousin.

Pallbearers will be Ramon Garcia Jr., Steven Gash, Victoria Hickey, Abraham Currillio, Ector Garcia, Timothy Ontiveros. Honorary Pallbearer will be Adam Lee Denmon.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2018 at Harkey Funeral Home. Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2018 at Harkey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Cornerstone Church in Monahans, Texas with Pastor Stan Huffty officiating.
