Malissa Roberts

Malissa Roberts, 47, of Monahans passed away on March 16, 2020 in Monahans. Malissa was born in Dimmit Texas to Ronald and Pam Simonds on May 8th, 1972.  Malissa and her husband, Kevin Roberts, were married on June 24th, 1995 and raised 4 children in Monahans.

Malissa has been in law enforcement since 1993 working for the Ward County Sheriff’s Office, Monahans Police Department, Pecos Police Department, The Trans Pecos Drug Task Force, and was working as a Lieutenant Criminal Investigator for the Reeves County Sheriff’s Office at the time of her death.

Malissa is survived by her husband Kevin Roberts of Monahans, and children Logan Parsons of Euless Tx, Megan Mendez and her husband Patrick of Lubbock TX, Austin Roberts of Monahans and Jake Roberts also of Monahans.  Malissa also has 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Will Simonds and wife Jennifer of Crestview Fl, Cindy Simonds of Odessa Tx, Danny Simonds and wife Amanda of Lubbock Tx, Eric Simonds and wife Courtney of Rankin Tx, Mandy Salazar and husband Cruz of Monahans, and Bryan Simonds and wife Tiffany of Sanford NC, along with numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Pall bearers will be Reeves County Sheriff Arturo Granado, Chief Ernest Lazcano, Lieutenant Oscar Machuca, Captain Juan Vasquez, Sgt Jose Soliz and Sgt Julio Orosco.
