Manuel Flores

Manuel went to be with the Lord on October 23, 2020 in Midland, Texas. Manuel Lujan Flores was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico to Victoriana and Petra Flores. He married the love of his life Albina Morales Flores on May 30, 1959.

The couple moved to Monahans in 1976. Manuel went to work for the City of Monahans, where he worked for 27 years. Manuel was a devoted Catholic and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors and cooking asado for his family.

Manuel is preceded in death by his parents Victoriano and Petra Flores; daughter Rosa Elma Flores; brother Juan Flores; and sisters Ofelia Subia and Dominga Lujan.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Albina Flores of Monahans. His children Virginia Elsa Flores of Ojinaga Chihuahua, Mexico, Maria Elda Ramos (Ruben) of Odessa, Jesus Manuel Flores (Rebecca) of Monahans, Cecilia Elia Almendarez (Roy) of Midland, Omar Flores of Monahans, 13 Grandchildren and 15 Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday October 28, 2020 at Harkey Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Rosary will follow be Wednesday October 28, 2020 at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church at 4:00 p.m.

The funeral mass will be held at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church on Thursday October 29, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
