Manuel Jurado

Manuel Tarango Jurado, 70 years of age, of Imperial, Texas, passed away on October 7, 2018 at Medical Center Hospital, Odessa, TX.

He was born in Artesia, New Mexico on September 10, 1948 to Trinidad and Olivia Tarango Jurado. He attended school in Balmorhea, Texas. Being a jack of all trades, Manuel worked in many different areas and fields ranging from agriculture to operating tractors and back hoes. His interests included farming and woodworking and he enjoyed singing and dancing. In 1973, Manuel married Luz Elena Escarcega, the mother of his children "Manuelito" and "JJ".

Manuel is preceded in death by his parents and brother Raymond Jurado.

He is survived by his two sons: Manuel Adolfo "Manuelito" and wife Veronica Jurado of Monahans, TX., Jerome "JJ" and wife Jennifer Jurado of Imperial, TX.; brothers, Jose "Tango" Jurado and wife Olga of Ft. Stockton, TX., Juan "Shine" and wife Diane Jurado of Odessa, TX.; Sisters Elpidia Lopez of Ft. Stockton, TX., Hortencia "Tencha" and husband Timoteo Olivas of Ft. Stockton, TX. and Delma Jurado of Odessa, TX. He had eight grandchildren: Aron, Tony, Bre‘Anna, Gabriel, Erezmiah, Athena, Ava Jane and Jasmin Madison.

Viewing will be Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 12:00 pm -6:00 pm at Harkey Funeral Home in Monahans, TX. A rosary will also be recited at 6:30 pm at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Monahans, TX. Mass will be on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Gleen Carpe officiating. Burial will follow at Saragosa Cemetery in Saragosa, TX with Ruben Gomez officiating.

Pallbearers will be, Joe Luis Jurado, Raymond Jurado, Trinidad Garcia, Jesse Garcia, Rolando Garcia and Arnold Armendariz and Honorary Pallbearers will be, Timoteo Olivas and Kristopher Delgado.
