Nena was a radiant soul, known for her warmth, kindness, and joyful spirit. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel like a friend. For many years, Nena was an active and cherished member of First Baptist Church, in Odessa, TX, where her beautiful voice could be heard singing in the choir. Her love and talent for music, art, and dance were evident in all aspects of her life, and she was truly gifted when it came to creating beauty in both the world and in the hearts of those around her.

As an educator in Odessa, Nena dedicated 22 years to shaping young minds in her welcoming elementary classroom. She was known for her patient, compassionate approach, always making sure every child felt seen, heard, and valued. After retiring, Nena continued to pour love into her favorite hobbies, including decorating, singing, and nurturing her creative spirit.

Nena was deeply devoted to her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Bill Ingram; her stepchildren, Tosh Ingram and Noel Ingram; her grandchildren; and her siblings, Manuela Acosta de Sanchez, (Roberto Sanchez+) Juan Daniel Acosta (Socorro Alicia +), Maria del Socorro Acosta de Duran (Abel), Oscar Acosta (Maria Elena), and Martha Acosta. She was a beloved wife, stepmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, and her unwavering love and dedication will be forever treasured by all who knew her.

Nena was preceded in death by her parents, Praxedis and Maria Trinidad Acosta, and her brothers, Armando Acosta (Nora) and Gabriel Acosta (Celia).

Nena was a woman of great heart and spirit. She touched countless lives with her kindness, generosity, and infectious joy. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to know her. Nena’s presence will be deeply missed, but the love, warmth, and laughter she shared with all of us will never fade. Her spirit and memory will remain in our hearts forever.
