Mariana Gonzales

Mariana Fuentes Gonzales, 68 of Jal, New Mexico passed away June 23, 2023. Mariana was born in Marathon, Texas to Ynes and Manuela Garcia on April 3rd, 1955.

Mariana attended Grandfalls Royalty High school and graduated in 1974. She worked at numerous health care facilities assisting and caring for patients. Mariana's true passion was caring for others. She met her loving husband Antonio Gonzales and were married August 18, 1987. Together they started their life journey and moved to Jal, New Mexico and were married for 36 years. She had love for her dogs and enjoyed being around family and friends. During her free time, she enjoyed watching Novelas and doing word search puzzles.

Mariana is preceded in death by her parents, Ynes and Manuela Garcia; son, Jesus Garcia: brothers, Alvaro Garcia, Ramon Garcia, Juan Garcia; sisters, Elida Ramirez, and Elodia Garcia.

Mariana is survived by her husband, Antonio Gonzales; brother Merardo (Margie) Garcia of Monahans; sister, Rosa (Manuel) Olivas of Grandfalls, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be held at 10am on June 28th, 2023, at St John's Catholic church in Monahans. Mass will immediately follow with Father Joe officiating. Burial will be held at Tamarisk Cemetery in Grandfalls.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Harkey Funeral Home.
