Marie Hollingsworth

Marie Varner Hollingsworth, 86 a fifty-year resident of Monahans, died Saturday, October 1, 2016, surrounded by family, at the home of her daughter Colleen Beckham.
Marie was born June 18, 1930 in Marion, Arkansas to Mattie Elma Snider and Martin Van Buren Varner. She married Billy Ralph Hollingsworth in Seminole, Texas on May 3, 1960. Mrs. Hollingsworth worked as the stock room manager for Gibson's Discount Store, later worked at Superburger and as a clerk for Sprinkles Office Supply. Her hobbies and past time were spent with crochet, jigsaw puzzles and word search. She especially loved being surrounded by her family and attending her church.

Predeceased by husband Billy Ralph Hollingsworth and her parents; sisters Myrtle Wilson, Vergie Fridell, Dovie Oldham, Daphna Rodden, and brothers Tom Varner, William Varner, and George Buren Varner.

Survivors include her children; Cathy Jones and husband Don of Eunice, NM; Colleen Beckham and husband Tommy of Monahans; Charles Hollingsworth and wife Diane of Melissa, TX Tommy Hollingsworth and wife Elizabeth of Leander, TX; Sister: Viola Garrett of Amity, Arkansas and Brother: John Varner of Amity, Arkansas
Grandchildren: Dale Jones of Ira, TX; Becky Nogelmeier of Eunice, NM; Billy Beckham of Monahans; Ann Beckham of Lubbock; Talmadge Hollingsworth of Farmersville, TX; Michelle Stanley of McKinney, TX; Katherine Hollingsworth of Vermont; Amanda Flitton of Kyle, TX; William Hollingsworth of Leander, TX; Andrew Hollingsworth of Leander, TX
Nine Great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.,
Pallbearers will be Dale Jones, Billy Beckham, Tal Hollingsworth, William Hollingsworth, Andrew Hollingsworth, and John Nogelmeier.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Southside Baptist Church with burial to follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, October 3, 2016 at Harkey Funeral Home.
